Will lead an Ignatian reflection on examination of conscience
Christopher Krall, S.J., is a priest of the Society of Jesus and assistant professor of theology and neuroscience at the Jesuit Catholic Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He has a Ph.D. in the interdisciplinary research of systematic theology and neuroscience from Marquette University. His research and writing explore Ignatian discernment methods and praying the Spiritual Exercises with neuroscience and the application of these disciplines for human flourishing, ethical decision-making, and therapeutic remedies. A current grant-funded research project guides veterans suffering with moral injury and PTSD through the Jesuit prayer of the Examen for healing growth and social reintegration.
He is a Naval Reserve Chaplain for the Third Marine Expeditionary Force based in Okinawa. His previous deployment was serving as the deputy chaplain and Catholic priest for Camp Lemonnier and the Somalia outstations in Eastern Africa. He recently co-edited Alternative Attitudes Toward Suicide and Its Survivors: Contesting the Darkness of Conventional Stigmas.
