Who should attend?

Active-duty service members and their spouses and families, chaplains, chaplain assistants/religious affairs specialists, Coordinators of Religious Education (CREs), and Catholic Pastoral Life Coordinators (CPLCs).

We encourage service members to work with their chaplains and the chain of command to seek Permissive TDY.

Are military retirees or veterans able to attend?

Yes. Retirees and veterans may attend and are valued members of many chapel communities. However, the primary audience is subjects of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. Because of this, the AMS may cap the number of tickets available to non-AMS subjects.

Are children welcome?

Conference session are for an adult audience. Infants in arms may attend with a parent. Children are welcome at Mass, social times, and most meals. Please note that the gala dinner is for adults only (infants in arms welcome). Children must be supervised at all times during the conference.
A family room with audio/video feed from the sessions is available for families with small children. Children’s meal tickets are available for purchase with registration.

Children’s meal tickets are for children aged 3-18 years as of November 9th, 2026. Children younger than 3 years do not require a meal ticket.

Is childcare provided?

No. The AMS is not providing childcare at the CMC. Families are welcome to bring children to meals and social events. Please see “Are Children Welcome?” for more details.

What is included with my ticket?

You ticket will include admission to all sessions and meals and daily worship and fellowship with hundreds of faithful of the Archdiocese.

What is included with a VIP ticket?

All of the above, VIP seating, and a private audience with the Archbishop.

What meals are included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes all sessions and the following meals:

Monday, Nov. 9 — afternoon start

Day 2
Tuesday, Nov. 10 — full day

  • Coffee breaks

Children’s meal tickets are available for purchase separately.

Is there a one-day pass option?

No. This inaugural CMC does not have a one-day registration option. Those interested in participating are invited to register for the full conference experience.

How do I get to the conference?

By car: The Westfields Marriott is located at 14750 Conference Center Dr., Chantilly, VA. Free parking is available on site. By air: We recommend flying into Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is only 8 miles from the venue. From there, take a short taxi or rideshare to the hotel.

What is the dress code?

Casual civilian attire is recommended for conference sessions. The dress code for the Gala Dinner on November 10 is cocktail attire. Service members are invited to wear either civilian attire or service dress.

How do I book my hotel room?

A room block at the Westfields Marriott is available at $219/night. After purchasing your conference ticket, you will receive an email with a link to book your room. Two room types are available: double queen and king. Rollaway beds are available for $25/day. For adjoining rooms or rooms with a bathtub, contact the hotel directly at 703-818-0300.
